Getting parking tickets after months of selling car?

Simona Bulwinkle: Shes asking me to go to the dmv for her because she has to work today she said if i can get a paper to bring home to her so she can fill it out and turn it in the next day.. Is that allowed or does she have to go and handle that business over there?

Dallas Bartolini: So when she sold the car she didn't go to a notary and have the title changed, shame on her. She didn't even remove the tag! Now you have to track this person down and that is unlikely. Go to the local police and ask what to do. It could get worse the driver could get in a hit and run and you mom would be stuck with the bill.

Hugo Pittari: Does she have proof she actually sold the car? Best if she has a bill of sale signed by the buyer. Bring this to the DMV to have her name removed from the vehicle. What has most likely happened is that when she sold the car she never removed the license plates. The person who purchased the car is driving around on your mother's registration. ! They will not transfer the registration or title until the registration expires....Show more

Kristina Brockwell: Since the car is under her name

Melvin Nakama: If she sold the car, why is her plate still on the vehicle? When a vehicle is sold, it is the seller's responsibility to remove his/her plate from the vehicle. If your mom left them on, that is her fault.
