The health benefits for me were these: I lost around 15kg (33 pounds), went from a size 8(US) to a size 4 (not a health benefit exactly, but good for one's self esteem), I have a lot more muscle, I'm a lot fitter, and losing weight from walking encouraged me to eat much, much healthier too. Honestly, it's one of the best ways to lose weight and build fitness, and anyone can do it, and it's free!
