Tom Romer: i'd say D calls out because he can see a minimum of two of the 4 hats. He sees both black and white in the front of him. i assume he makes an counseled wager because there's a black hat in the front of him, then a white hat. He assumes the subsequent hat in line is white, so as that can make him have a black hat.
