Elissa Curlin: As the whole thing it's all a maater of provide and insist. J pollock had a succsessful profession dong booklet covers, earlier than fitting popular in a single day for dripping paint on a canvas.
Kenneth Queener: Wow, is that what you were assigned or is that what you decided to tackle? What you're asking for is a very very broad topic. It's essentially the entire history of art and how it is created.People have been making art since prehistoric times until the present. What type of class are you doing this for? I'm trying to help you think of a way to focus your topic so you can address something in a reasonable scope. Also, how long a paper are you supposed to prepare? And, in what time frame? Here are some resources that might help you focus a bit - or at least touch on what you want to in a very high level way:Visual arts:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_artsArt timeline & period-based thematic essays (the Met):http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/Phot! ography timeline:http://inventors.about.com/od/pstartinventions/a/P...Don't forget 'outsider art' if you have to cover the entire span of art history.Digital media and the ways in which they are employed can certainly be considered art (fine/visual or performing arts - music, theatre, avant garde theatre). Which arts with the word "digital" in them can you think of? You must own at least two or more digital devices & software that can be used to create still or moving art...talk about them in your paper....Show more
Majorie Chester: yes digital art is a (great) form of art, for sure!technological inventions changed art, like photography had a huge impact on the way painters worked (away from realism).I guess the firts artists were the early humans that did the cave paintings, using natural material for tools and paint.
